Hmm. I think I might remove the Rockies from here, and breeding Vanners & Drum Horses instead.

I freaking LOVE draft/draft-type horses, and I'm not doing anything with Rockies here, so .

I'll put my two up for adoption, and someone can take them, if anyone's interested in Rockies?

So, yeah.
Update time?

maybe.

idunnoknowbutheregoes. :]

REAL LIFE ;

Peek-A-Boo ; is doing amazing. I've been riding her daily, and she's getting a lift in her gait. she's defiantly going to be a show pleasure mare. I'm talking to Vinny tomorrow about buying her. I don't really have the money, but I'm going to ask her if I can do some sort of payment plan or something - because otherwise there is a high chance she'll be bought by someone in the Netherlands. And if I don't see this mare daily, I'll go insane. She got me through the death of my filly before, I don't want to lose her.

Breeze ; is working on doing good. I don't mean to sound like a prick, but the girl whos' been riding him has ruined him. This gelding was doing PERFECTLY. Had no flaws, or habits. Since she's been riding him, he's developed a habit of not tucking his head, not staying in gait, moving while mounting, and biting. She's trying ground work with him now and I'm having to do the majority of it, because she's only there on Wednesdays, and I'm there everyday.

Pie,May,Koko & Emmie ; are all doing well. Mays' owner said he wants me to start riding her sometime next week. :]

Susie ; has been having difficulties. We had a near-death situation with her on Tuesday last week. We had to move her inside on Monday because she was having difficulties breathing, and we went to check on her Tuesday, and she was laying down. It took a while to get her up, but by the time she was up, the vet had arrived. She was barely breathing though. They took blood samples, and she wasn't getting enough oxygen, and was suffocating. After some work and medication, she got to breathing normally again, though. She's been on serious meds since though, and is still breathing well. The vet came out yesterday to check on her. They did an ultrasound on her lungs, and several other things. She's breathing better, but still not fully normal. We're hoping she gets better! We almost lost her last week D:

everyone else is pretty good. Silver's listening to ground-control MUCH better [I don't think anyone knows Silver, but he's a 6 year old Rocky stallion. he's had a habit of biting, but I've been working with him on the ground, and he's getting out of it. ^^] . Angel's getting over her fear of mud, thank god! She practically took my arm off letting her out in the pasture one day. >.o

Home life is good too. I've gotten a new kitten. around 10 weeks old, silver/red tabby female. Her full name's Spiderlegs On A Stick, but I call her Spider. :]

HARPG ;

two new foals born!

one colt, one filly.

No show names yet, care to help out?

Flash
bc Agent Seely Booth  x  Wendy Darling .
black birdcatcher colt.

Sunny
Summertime  x  Golden Girl .

Lost two auction bids . Oh well, I'll try for more when I have time x3

Hmm.
I think that's about it. Not much going on in my stable at the moment xP

Over the past couple of days, the barn I train for has gotten 5 new horses. All RMH or RMH cross.

[ full show names not here XD ]

Pie - 12 year old chocolate RMH broodmare
May - 5 year old sorrel RMH filly [ Pie's daughter ]
Koko - 3 year old bay RMH x Arab filly [ full sister to black filly below ]
[ unsure on name ] - 4 year old black RMH x Arab filly [ full sister to Koko ]
Susie - 5 year old black filly [ from our farms' stallion, and a foundation broodmare ]

These horses have been out in a drylot without any human contact for a year, though they are all gentle and love people.
They hadn't been wormed, trimmed or shod in this time either. So they were a mess when they arrived.
We have already wormed them, and the farrier is coming out Sunday to trim them up. We won't be putting shoes on them until after winter though.

Jodi [ another trainer ] and I are supposed to be breaking in Koko and her sister, and I'm going to be trying to get May ready for the show ring.

We got Koko, her sister, and Susie in Thurs. morning, and Pie and May came in Weds. morning.
When I arrived today, the owner of the horses had told the owner of our barn that they'd pay me to untangle their manes/tails, and just clean them up in general.
It took me an hour and a half to get Kokos' mane fixed up, around 45 minutes on her sister, and another hour and a half on Susie.
I ended up having to cut Susies' mane, it too tangled to even pull.
All three had MASSIVE manes. Though their tails were mostly straight. There were a million and one burrs in their manes from the pasture they had been in.

Susie is VERY underweight [ about 500 pounds ], which is why she won't be going into training. All the others are in very good condition for being on dry lot for a year. We are going to let them graze in the bottom pasture [ all horses gain a lot of weight down there, because it's about 20 acres of nothing but grass and a creek xD ] for a few months before we start riding Koko or her sister, and Susie will probably not go into her saddle training until next year. I will begin riding May by the end of this month, because she is in EXCELLENT condition. Vinny [ owner of the barn ] may ride Pie a bit as well.

Though, at the end of the day I was rather pissed off.
A girl from another barn came over while I was catching the last filly [ Koko ] to put in the bottom field, because they had been in the riding ring until they were all ready to turn out together.
Well, Koko started running around and bucking, so I was waiting for her to tire out, and this girl decides to come in and "help" me.
This girl and I DO NOT get along, first thing.
And when Koko comes around us, RIGHT on the rail, said girl started jumping up and down screaming "WHOA!" at the top of her lungs, and freaked this horse the FUCK out! She almost ran into the rail!
And then she's just like, "why don't you do that? It's funny!"
"No. It's not, what if she ran INTO the rail?" and then she shut up and just stood there.
But I mean, if Kokos' feet had been ANY closer to the rail, she would have gotten tangled up and most likely broken one or both front legs since she was going at a good speed, and she reared and bucked.
She was incredibly freaked out then, and continued to run around, moving up from what she had been doing [ trotting/gaiting ] to a canter/gallop. She ran for several laps [ and our outdoor ring is fairly large ] until she finally stopped, and let me catch her. By then, the girl was long-gone from the ring, and standing outside.

I'm not sure what she was thinking, but I know Terry and Vinny were not happy. I mean, they'd almost had a serious accident there because of someone who worked for another barn.

But, all five are now safely in the bottom pasture with three of our other broodmares. :]

But, I thought I'd share this news with you all :3
I'll get pictures up as soon as I can! :D

BreezKrest Farms.

Settled out in what people like to call the 'boon-docks', lays BreezKrest Farms. The town of Fincastle is a small town full of history, and BreezKrest is the only farm large enough to hold more then ten/eleven horses. The land was once owned by Edens' grandparents, but after their passing the land has been passed onto her. She has kept the breeding of Rocky Mountain Horses, through she has added another breed - thoroughbreds. The farm got its' name from the constant breeze that blows here, Crest - for family, since it is a family owned and run farm, but added a 'K' instead of the normal 'C'. Eden's younger sister came to live with her two years ago, after their mother died in a car crash, and has been learning the ropes since. The farm specializes in Rocky Mountain Horses, and gaited horse shows - though we are getting our thoroughbred breeding program up and running, and plan to make a name for our horses in flat racing.
